Mark II
The Mark II (2), was constructed as a prototype with an emphasis on exploring flight potential. As the first suit of Iron Man armor built at Stark Industries, the Mark II armor was soon replaced by the Mark III after initial flight testing and was later recolored into the famous Red and Gold armor.
The Mark II armor was designed and created by Tony Stark after his return from Afghanistan. It features much of the articulation and sleek-design which would appear in the final, Mark 3 armor.
While testing the flight mechanism, he noted that 'icing' would become a
major problem with the Mark II when upper altitudes were reached. It
was hinted that Rhodey would be using the Mark II armor in the sequel.
The main focus of the Mark II was to update the armor with advanced
construction and material with a focus to greatly enhancing it's flight
capabilities. Stripping down the Mark I suit to it's basics, with the
aid of modern resources and computer aided design, Stark was able to
make the armor both much more streamlined while including massively more
complex systems. Compared to to the electronically "dumb" Mark I, the
Mark II featured a highly advanced compact computer system with
extensive sensor systems linked to holographic heads-up display in the
helmet, Stark's personal A.I. system J.A.R.V.I.S
being able to interface with it and provide verbal warnings and system
status updates. The outer surface of the armor was high gloss silver.
The majority of the panels on the suit were articulated to serve as
control surfaces in flight, but main flight stabilization cames from
repulsors installed on the palms each hand.
The HUD multi-processor computer system was projected against the lenses that covered the eyeholes. Stark confirmed with Agent Coulson that the HUD included the J.A.R.V.I.S. monitoring capabilities and observational protocol, a Global Positioning System, target scanning, and displays for navigation, power level, and vital signs. One of the main goals of the Mark II armor was to provide flight stabilization to control the Thruster Boots. The strength of the Replsor Rays was apparently not initially weapons-grade in the Mark II. The Mark II was a protoype of the Iron Man Armors and had mainly systems for flight, thus its streamlined shape. It also has noteably no weapons on board like later models.
The Mark II armor was remade for the Hall of Armors and one version upgraded into the War Machine armor by Rhodey in Iron Man 2. After crashing Tony's Birthday party, Rhodey flies off with the Mark II Armor to the US Army and, collaborating with Justin Hammer, arms the Mark II with Hammer's weapons.
Armor Design
The Mark 2 was first revealed in the movie Iron Man. The suit was taken by Rhodey (James Rhodes) and later in Iron Man 2 turned into War Machine equipped with weapons from Justin Hammer.
Soon, in Iron Man 3, War Machine is altered into Iron Patriot, a new and almost completely different armor.
Weapon
The Mark II is equipped with two flight stabilizers that can also be used as repulsors when in tough situations. When Mark II Change to War machine
Tony becomes drunk at, what Tony believes to be, his last birthday party
while in the Iron Man armor. Tired with Stark's child-like behavior,
James Rhodes steals the Mark II and battles Tony's Mark IV armor,
demolishing several rooms in his house. Rhodes then delivers it to the
US Air Force, who in time, transform it into the War Machine armor.
fter the events of Iron Man 2, Tony and James Rhodes argued about the
ownership of The Mark II or as it is called by James Rhodes 'War
Machine'. Tony disassembled the 7.62-mm Minigun which was attached at
the back of the armor because it was Hammer tech and he wanted to have
The Mark II back in his hall of armor which consisted of The Mark
I,Mark III,Mark IV, and The Mark VI, excluding the Mark II. However,
when Rhodey lost The Mark II / War Machine, he also gained a new armor,
War Machine Mark II. The new armor is the Iron Patriot armor.

Mark III
The Mark III (3), was the third suit created by Tony Stark and was the main suit Tony used in the movie and in the game. After initial flight tests were completed on the Mark II, Tony built the Mark III.
The strongest of the armors in Iron Man, it was designed for customization, the Mark III can be equipped with a variety of incredible enhancements and upgrades. It was heavily damaged at the end of the first Iron Man film by the Iron Monger. It was later replaced by the Mark IV.
Even though it was not used in Iron Man 2
it was put in the Hall of Armor. Tony Stark did not rebuild the damaged
Mark III, as he left it in the same condition as it was after the fight
with Iron Monger. Also, the suit has flares and a strong repulsor. Mark
III appears in Iron Man 3, where it is destroyed when a terrorist attack occurs in Tony Stark's Malibu residence.
Upgrades
During Stark's lifetime, he gains more money and technology becomes better too, therefore giving him the chance to upgrade the Iron Man armour. The Mark III armour has many different upgrades, which cost money to research and make but create a better suit for Stark to use. Below is a list of upgrades, which the Mark III armour can acompany:Core system
Stark Industries' signature targeting systems were added to the Mark III. Each projectile weapon, carrying its own microcomputer, could communicate wirelessly with the targeting system even after launch, tracking the most mobile targets and even changing targets en route. The Mark III System offers remarkable durability without compromising mobility. This armor was constructed as a flexible foundation from which further improvements can be made.Striker system
Gold-Titanium Exoskeleton
Stark confirmed that this lightweight yet extraordinarily strong alloy shell consists of 95.5% titanium and 4.5% gold and is coated on the interior with a dense, high-tensile synthetic fiber, similar to Kevlar 49.Weapons

History
The Mark III did not appear in the pier with The Iron Legion. It was destroyed in the attack on Tony's mansion in Malibu, along with the suits in the Hall of Armors.Technical Information: | |||||||||||
