The Mark VIII (8), was the eighth suit created and built by Tony Stark, to surpass the Mark VII, sometime after the events of The Avengers.
It was featured in the movie Iron Man 3, and made its debut in the movie when Tony ordered J.A.R.V.I.S. to initiate the "House Party Protocol", in which it was activated along with all of the other suits to aid Tony in his battle against Aldrich Killian.
The suit was a basic Iron Man suit, like its predecessors. An improved version of the Mark VII, it is equipped with a vast variety of weapons, and is more versatile and maneuverable than its predecessor.
While retaining the famous red and gold color scheme, it has a slightly different appearance from the Mark VII. Having a less bulkier body armor, while having a unique and smooth design on its face mask, a feature that cannot be found in its previous Mark armors.

Armor Design

The Mark VIII has the classic red for most of the armor, with platinum for the mask, upper arm, upper leg and other bits and pieces here and there. It also has extra layers of Kevlar to withstand the force of a small missile.

Technological Characteristics

The Mark VIII was designed to take harder hits and to deliver more damage on a battlefield, hence it's codename: Ace.

This is the eighth suit built by tony stark after the battle of new york. It is less bulky and has a unique and smooth design on its face mask. It is presumed that the suit wepons is more advance than its previously made suits along with its manuverbility. It also has extra layers of Kevlar to withstand the force of a small missile, being made to take harder hits and take more damage in the battlefield.

History

It was made to be the better version of the Mark VII and is the first armor to be added to the Iron Legion. It and the rest of the Armors were called in for the "House Party Protocol" in Miami to help Tony fight off the Extremis soldiers. It was destroyed either by the "Clean Slate Protocol" or the Extremis soldiers.

Mark IX

The Mark IX (9), was the ninth suit created and built by Tony Stark, to surpass the Mark VIII, sometime after the events of The Avengers.
It was featured in the movie Iron Man 3, and made it's  debut in the movie when Tony ordered J.A.R.V.I.S. to initiate the "House Party Protocol", in which it was activated along with all the other suits to aid Tony in his battle against Aldrich Killian.
The suit was another basic Iron Man suit, that was created by Tony. Bearing much resemblance to it's predecessor, it retains the famous gold and red color scheme, that takes the identity of Iron Man, with the exception of the redesigned colored plates and the rough-edged mask, a feature that is unique with the suit.
It is equipped with a vast variety of weapons as well, and just like it's predecessors, retains the signature repulsor weapons that was used in the previous Mark suits.

This is the ninth suit built by Tony Stark, the second after the battle of New York. It has redesigned colored plates and a rough-edged mask. It was designed for extreme flexibility, movement and agility.

History

The second armor added to the Iron Legion. When the "House Party Protocol" was ordered, it and the other Armors flew to Florida and attacked the Extremis soldiers. It was destroyed either by the "Clean Slate Protocol" or the Extremis Soldiers.
